12 ECTS fully optional modules (named “Esami a Scelta Libera”), meaning that students have to choose 2 modules x 6 ECTS among the classes not selected from the previous set of not compulsory exams or among English-taught exams in the Sapienza University.
The choice must be approved by the Board during the Study Plan submission according to their relevance for a Mechanical Engineering career. If the 12 ECTS are taken from the sets of optional exams of Distinctive or Related and Integrative Subjects the Study Plan will be automatically approved.
6 ECTS partially elective laboratories (named “Altre Attività Formative, AAF”), 2 modules x 3 ECTS according to this set:

3 ECTS may be substituted with intership (Tirocinio, AAF) only in EU and within the Jobsoul framework.
18 ECTS related to the student’s final Dissertation Project.
Master course schedule
The programme is organised in semesters and each semester comprises 10 weeks of class instruction.
Students are required to prepare and submit online in Infostud 2.0, the study plan prepared considering the master programme structure and the course schedule,. This has to be done after enrollement and before starting exams. An announcement will be provided on this website to give the notice of the opening for submitting the Study Plan.
Only 1 Study Plan per year can be submitted.
Modules are examined at the end of each semester and in September.
Students are required to register for examinations by the published deadlines available in INFOSTUD 2.
